Li Jin Ming and Leona Craig Art Exchange Gifts with Guangzhou International School
The other week, the second grade of Guangzhou International School came to Leona Craig Art's L. C. Yilang, in Dong Shan Kou, Guangzhou, for a special treat: to see the Li Jin Ming Exhibition: Small Paintings; Big World - Fifty Years of Art and to watch Li Jin Ming create art.
During their Visit, Li painted a still life oil painting of fruit, in a basket.

Of course, the kids could not sit still for the whole process, so, we set them loose to see the exhibition and to write about their favorite paintings. Many of them also made their own copies of the still life that Jin Ming Li was doing, and the next day at school, they did their own still life paintings. Their teacher brought the paintings and drawings over to us, this week, along with cards and mounted pictures of the whole class at L. C. Art Gallery, signed for us and for Mr. Li:

Li took the next several days to finish his 50 cm x 60 cm still life painting, and because we all had some much fun with the event, Jin Ming Lee and Leona Craig Art have decided to make a gift of this lovely painting to the school.

As Li Jin Ming is being honored with the printing of a limited edition commemorative Chinese stamp collection , in honor of the 2010 Guangzhou Asia Games, we have decided to extend the exhibition of his paintings, Small Paintings; Big World, at L. C. Gallery, in Guangzhou, until the end of November, in honor of his achievement and the Asia Games.
Li Jin Ming (Jin Ming Li; Jin Ming Lee) is a fine contemporary Chinese painter from Guangdong Province. He was a student of Xu Jian Bai, who was a student of the famous Lin Feng Mian, one of the fathers of contemporary Chinese oil painting.
