Qing Dynasty Rat & Rabbit Update

As you may or may not know, at Leona Craig Art Gallery we feature the works of some smaller studios that make zisha clay teapots, glass art, and cast bronze.  Indeed, they are not large operations that mass produce but are rather small studios that make limited copies of some works.

As we announced several weeks ago, our featured bronze casting studio made a small batch of copies of the controversial cast bronze Qing Dynasty rat and rabbit heads from the Zodiac fountain of the new summer palace, in Beijing, which recently came to auction out the Yves Saint Laurent estate.  However, those copies have already been entirely sold out.

Not to worry!  The studio has agreed to turn out a few more.  What is even better news is that, in the new run, they will make them the same size as the originals, so they will be even more indistinguishable from the originals.  The studio told us, today, that we can expect the new batch to be available around the middle of April, and we will put them back on our website and make an announcement, in our blog, when we get them in.
