Who got the Qing Dynasty Rat and Rabbit heads ... We did

Qing Dynasty Rat Head Sculpture    Qing Dynasty Rabbit bust

Ok.  So, they are not the originals that were recently sold at auction out of Yves St. Laurent's estate, but they are really nice reproductions by the bronze studio, in Xi'an, from which we get many of the cast bronze sculptures that we offer in our gallery.  Although it looks like the auction will have to redone, the selling price for the originals was $20 million, each.  The price at which we offer them, in the Leona Craig Art Gallery, on-line, is far less.
Even if we can't own the originals, we really do like the folk art style in which they were made.  The originals are from the Zodiac Fountain (with the 12 signs of the Chinese zodiac) from the summer palace of Emperor Qianlong, in the 18th century.
You can read more about them on our website, on page 6, of the sculpture section at: https://www.redhill-china.com/catalogue_art_gallery/sculpture/Sculpture_page_6.htm
